SUBA' Unveils Its Artistic Splendour at Sri Palee Campus.

Embark on a week-long journey into the world of drama at Sri Palee Campus, University of Colombo. From December 30th, 2023, to January 5th, 2024, the Department of Performing Arts, in collaboration with the India Sri Lanka Foundation, orchestrated a captivating workshop led by Prof. Darshan Purohit from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India.

Culminating in a mesmerizing 40-minute environmental theatre performance at the ‘NUGA TREE’ performing arena, the workshop drew inspiration from Rabindranath Tagore’s short story ‘SUBA.’ The opening and final ceremonies, elegantly organized by the student theatre circle ‘ARUNDATHI,’ added a touch of theatrical grace to the event.

This brief yet enchanting journey stands as a testament to the magic of storytelling, cultural collaboration, and the transformative power of the arts at Sri Palee Campus.
