While food waste is collected separately on a daily basis, the collection of other organic waste, such as garden waste, grass cutting waste, and swept leaves, has been done once a week and transport them to the composting yard for composting.
First year students of the Sri Palee Campus hosted a project called ‘Adarayeh Horawa’ which did took place on the 4th, Friday November at the horana elderly home which Is funded by the ‘Raigama korala’ Society services (PVT)(LTD).
The agenda was quite a simple one. First it was some entertainment for the Elders and it came with a full package of Joy. Some of the elders started acting like Back in their 20s. That’s how success it is. After that Students gave them to lunch and lots of elders were happy to talk with students. This elderly home is part of our community it was a good experience for all the first year students.
