Making Art Communication
The final year students in the Art and Design stream of the Department of Performing Arts produced a video named ‘Herstory’ in 2020. This stop motion animation production presents patriarchy, inequality and women’s subordination in male dominated society. In this video, males are pressured to adopt hyper masculine attributes and all females are pressured to adopt traditionally feminine attributes. However, towards the end of the video, the women challenge the masculine attributes, free themselves from subordination to men and wins equal rights as men.
