The Sri Palee Campus Library comprise a collections encompass a rich and varied universe of printed volumes that supports faculty and students research and curricular needs. Campus library consists more than 27000 printed volumes. Library Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is a computerized of campus library resources which can be accessed to find out any resources available at the campus library. Photocopying facilities are also available in the library for the copying of in-house collections. Readers are given permission to limited pages to get photocopying due to the copyright law.

Lending collection

The Lending section has over 13000 books. Most of them fall into Mass Media, Performing Arts and English related subject areas. Descriptions of items in this collection can be searched using the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC).

Reference Collection

The Reference section has a collection of approximately 12000 books and audio-visual materials mainly concentrated on subjects pertaining to performing arts and mass media. The books are categorized as Reference Books (Blue R). The books in this section can be borrowed only for overnight references.

Permanent reference Collection

The campus library has well organized Permanent Reference collection. The permanent Reference collection contains the latest edition of various types of directories Handbooks, Manuals, Guides and Encyclopedias Which support campus academic programs and meet general information needs. Specially encyclopedias and the latest significantly revised editions of all major encyclopedias, both single-volume and multi-volume, are housed in this collection. And also costly and rear books, important textbooks, related to the Mass communications and the Performing Arts subjects are available in the collection. These comprehensive collections consist of ready reference materials and Materials are released only for the purpose of taking photocopies.

Sri Lankan Collection

This is Comprehensive collection on Humanities and Social Sciences in relation to Sri Lanka. A special collection of books, photographs, rare books and manuscripts, related to Sri Lanka are kept in the Sri Lanka Collection. The Sri Lankan Collection has approximately 1000 books. These books are not issued to students. You may browse through the books of the Sri Lankan Collection using our Library Database.

DVD Collection

The DVD collection has nearly 946 films including English, Sinhala, Hindi and Music. The DVDs can be borrowed by students and the staff for one day.

Periodical collection

The library has a local and foreign periodicals collection subject pertaining to the Mass media and Performing Arts. This contains both current and back issues of periodicals. Following are the latest periodicals available at the library.
