Annual Research Symposium 2023

Research Symposium (ARS 2023) was successfully held at the Sri Palee Campus, University of Colombo on 20th of November 2023 at the Mini Theatre under the theme “Excellence in Research in Media and Creative Arts.

The chief guest of the Symposium was the vice chancellor of the University of Colombo Senior Professor H.D Karunarathna and Guest of Honor was the Rector of Sri Palee Campus Dr. Prathibha Mahanamahewa. Professor Christoph Schmidt at the Head, International Media Studies, Deutsche Welle Academic, Germany being the keynote speaker enlighten the symposium. The plenary speech done by the Professor Zhang Yanqiu, the Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF) Communication University of China sharing her expertise knowledge among the audience.

The Symposium was held under the chairmanship of Mrs. Kalani Dharmasiri, Senior Lecturer, Department of Mass Media and it was on hybrid mood with the active participation of all the academics of Sri Palee Campus.
