The SDG Committee at Sri Palee Campus, in collaboration with Sampath Bank, recently hosted an Entrepreneurship Workshop to empower aspiring undergraduates and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in achieving SDGs 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). By starting their own businesses, entrepreneurs can create jobs, foster economic growth, and promote sustainable practices. The workshop provided participants with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to launch and grow successful businesses. Experts from Sampath Bank shared their insights on business planning, financial management, and marketing strategies. The workshop emphasized the importance of innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility in entrepreneurship. The SDG Committee at Sri Palee Campus and Sampath Bank are committed to supporting entrepreneurship and fostering a thriving business ecosystem. By providing access to education, mentorship, and resources, they aim to empower undergraduates to create sustainable and successful businesses that contribute to the SDGs. 120 Students participated from both Departments of Mass Media and Performing Arts. Media coverage for this was provided by UCN, Sri Palee Television Media Unit.
