The Youth Forum of the Asian University Alliance (AUA)
The University of Colombo had the unique opportunity to host AUA Youth Forum – 2019 under the theme of “Arogya Parama Laba” (“Wellbeing beyond Health”) from the 25th to 29th of November, 2019. The Youth Forum of the Asian University Alliance (AUA) is a project-based program represented by a group of selected students from AUA member universities to address developmental issues in the region, enhance youth empowerment, and promote cultural and academic exchange.
About 50 students for the AUA member universities representing 15 countries and 300 volunteers from the University of Colombo participated in this five-day event. Twenty Volunteer students from Sri Palee were also among the group. On the 3rd day of the program, these 50 youth participants from AUA member universities visited Sri Palee Campus and participated in different cultural events such as tree planting events, performing arts events as a part of cultural and academic exchange.

Mr. Bageshri Fonseka, a Senior Lecturer in Music serving in the Department of Performing Arts of Sri Palee Campus composed the iconic theme song for the AUA Youth Forum.
